Our President

Krista  C. Davis   is a native of Nashville, TN. She is  the wife of  Daryl T. Davis, mother to Duriel, Trista, D'Llisha, and  grandmother to three beautiful gifts Davarian, Darian and Naomi. Krista has many  creative  talents. She’s been the Steward of Serenity Suites Salon Spa for 9 years, a hairstylist for 23 years and Co Steward with her sister Kathy at Revelation Cafe. She has been sewing  since age 12 and launched  her own clothing line, Kris’Ta Kollection , in  2010.  In addition to the salon, cafe and clothier experience, she has  aesthetically enhanced many houses in the Brentwood,  Franklin, and  Nashville areas as an interior designer.  Krista finds peace and  solitude in using  these gifts, but still felt there was more to do.  

Krista’s passion for education, community service,  and helping others  gain the exposure to reach their dreams was constant.  She never failed  to pray for direction and  vision for this passion. With her desire to  help young ladies sitting in her salon  chair week after week and her  own experience with her children, the path seemed  inevitable. Sometimes  no matter how much you plan for your children’s college  experiences,  life happens.  Feeling that  many middle class families pay into our  student financial aid systems the most,  it was not fair to see that the  children of these hard working families were  forgotten.

Then in August of 2011, God answered. “I was  bestowed a vision, full of  direction, from our Lord and Savior - a group of  ladies from all  backgrounds, careers, and the hearts and will of David slaying  Goliath.  The Elegant Ladies Foundation was born. Thirteen gifts from God that share the same vision.  Mentoring, empowering, and  offering exposure  to dreams that we all dreamed as children,” Krista says.   

 A vision coupled with God’s purpose, ensures that dreams come true.  These dreams do not only have to come true for ourselves.  Dreams are realized to those whom we reach back and extend a hand.
